aka Trash Trucks! Isn’t it odd how the language of kids books often doesn’t quiiiiiite match what we say in real life? Even in the best kids books, garbage trucks are often “trash trucks” and garbage men (or sanitation workers) are often “trash men.” I used to be bothered by it but I’ve learned to just accept it, because nobody wants to try to fit “sanitation worker” into a poetic meter—and I can’t really blame them.
