Who is Katie?
I’m a mom to two little kids in Charlotte, North Carolina. I’ve read dozens and dozens of books about cars, trucks, construction vehicles, tractors, race cars, fire engines, trains, and everything else that vrooms and zooms.
Who is this site for?
This is for anyone–parent, grandparent, aunts and uncles, friends and caregivers–with a truck-loving toddler in their life. It’s not easy to find books that toddlers will ask to read again and again, and won’t leave parents pulling their hair out (this one? Again?) Use this list for gift-giving and library trips–that two year old’s parents will thank you!
What makes a great toddler truck book?
Two very simple criteria: I like to read it, and my two-year-old likes to read it. I like books with pleasant illustrations, good stories and a sense of humor. Rhyming books should be fun to read and roll easily off the tongue. My toddler likes books with easily recognizable pictures, a little bit of action, and a lot of trucks.
